Collect Bail Bond calls come from the jails all the time of day and night, but mostly in the middle of the night. So, off I go to speak with the individual who has been taken into custody and do the necessary paperwork to get them released.
I’m sure you might have heard the phrase; something contributes to another. Inside the Las Vegas Bail Bonds, it’s a common theme and listed below are three examples, although I could blog about dozens. I’ll keep it uncomplicated.
The common scenario is the fact that person arrested was pulled over for not coming to a complete stop at a red signal before turning, or performing a rolling stop. A rolling stop, or what some call; a California stop, is the driver slowing and then proceeding. Quite simply, running the stop sign.
The issue erupts when they’re stopped. Rolling along the window, the officer turns into a whiff of alcohol through the driver. What follows is actually a sobriety test, searching from the vehicle, and in case there are other occupants, license verification and determination when the passengers have already been consuming alcohol. The driver must have arrived at a total stop.
This story pops within my head when i write this. Within the late 80s, I used to be out at a restaurant/bar with two friends. We left and was pulled over for erratic lane changing. I used to be not the motorist. I was a passenger. One officer put the driver inside the police car and drove off. Another officer asked whenever we was drinking and we both said, “yes, we had consumed alcohol beverages in the restaurant/bar.” The effect was the passenger officer driving our friend’s car and driving us for the police station. We got out when bwystj arrived and thought that we might drive our friend’s car and go home. Not too. The officer had us move out, he locked the automobile and said, “good night.” I said, “How are we to obtain home?” His reply, “The two of you are big boys, you’ll figure it.” It was an extended walk.
Another sad ending happens when the motorist gets stopped and prescription medication is found. To add to this example, you have to learn this little twist. The owner of the car was too intoxicated to operate. So, a friend claimed that he would drive. Keep in mind that this was not his car, he was just doing his friend a big favor by driving. Well, the substitute driver rolls a stop sign, in a hurry to obtain home and end the evening. The lights flash, the operator pulls over, and also the officer does an inspection. Bingo! Illegal drugs in the trunk. The motorist was arrested. Yes, it wasn’t his car, but since he was driving the duty for its contents were on his shoulders. Reconsider volunteering to operate a friend’s car.
This example is actually a reality check in regards to what an officer’s perception could be. We understand the create. The officer wants to inspect the vehicle and says, “Pop the trunk.” Surprise! Inside the trunk, the locked trunk, is actually a baseball bat. However, there is absolutely no baseball glove, no baseballs, no ball cap, no bases, hardly anything else baseball related. Busted for having a concealed weapon. A footnote for this example would be those miniature baseball bats that you buy being a souvenir with your favorite team’s logo onto it. If it’s late into the evening, odds are good that you are currently not on your way home from the ballgame. Be mindful. The sign is red plus it says, “STOP!” Do just that, stop. Your mates might not think it is cool, but getting stopped and obtaining arrested is even less cool.
